Founded over 30 years ago in California’s Salinas Valley, we’ve grown into a multi-location operation serving customers across California and Arizona. Each location provides walk-in support, equipment repair, and fabrication, while our team also delivers directly to customers and performs on-site service when needed.
As a multi-generational family business, we take a long-term approach to every partnership. Our team brings real-world experience and a hands-on mindset, working closely with customers to deliver reliable solutions — on time and as promised.
MEET THE FAMILY
In 1990 John H. Green, Sr. founded Green Rubber with his namesake John P. Green, aka JP. They began as a small company dedicated to serving agricultural and industrial processors and manufacturers. Their specialty was custom conveyor belting, and that’s the origin of the “rubber” in Green Rubber. They competed daily with some of the biggest industrial chains in the country and the business quickly grew to over thirty employees with a diversified line of products and services.
Mark and Kirk Kennedy founded Kennedy Bros. in 1990. They started with a 4 person team based in their Salinas, CA store which sold tanks, pumps, and spray equipment to the farming industry. By 2003 they had grown to five locations throughout California.
The two businesses served many of the same customers. So to serve their customers more efficiently they merged to become Green Rubber – Kennedy Ag in 2003. Industrial Distribution Magazine published an article about the merger called “Green Is Good” in their September 2003 edition. The article describes the history of the business and the company philosophy that propels their growth to this day.
